What you’ll be doing As Assistant International Trade Compliance Officer, you’ll work alongside experienced compliance professionals to support all aspects of UK, US and international export control regulations. This is an excellent entry-level role for someone looking to build a career in international trade compliance, export controls, or global logistics. You will support the business in ensuring compliance with UK, US and other international trade regulations, working as part of a highly experienced Compliance team. Classify goods, technology, and services under UK/US trade regulations. Help prepare and manage export licence applications. Maintain trade control records in systems like SAP and SharePoint. Support internal teams to ensure every export is compliant and on time. Get hands‑on experience with global trade systems (SPIRE, SNAP‑R). Contribute to audits, reporting, and staff training initiatives. Analyse data to identify potential issues with export licences or system blocks. Assist in audits, reporting, and training activities across the business. Support ongoing business process improvements and regulatory updates What we’re looking for You don’t need prior experience in trade compliance — full training will be given. What matters is your attention to detail, organisation, and curiosity about how international trade works. A 2:2 degree (or equivalent experience in admin/coordination). Strong analytical and Excel skills. Great communication and teamwork abilities. A methodical, proactive approach and willingness to learn. A proactive, positive approach and willingness to learn. Experience with SPIRE, SNAP-R, or SAP systems would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided. Why this role?
