Location – Can be based at any of our office locations across Highland Highland Health Social Care Post Title – Looked after Children's Clinical Nurse Specialist Full‑time – 37 hours per week Salary Scale: Band 6 £41,608 - £50,702 p.a. Permanent (Please note NHS application forms will not be accepted, see below to apply) About The Role We are seeking a passionate and skilled Nurse to join our Promise Health Team in Highland. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of care‑experienced children and young people. For care‑experienced children and young people, health needs can often be complex and require timely, specialist support. In this role, you will have the opportunity to transform lives by ensuring these children receive the care and attention they need to thrive. Your expertise will help close health gaps, improve outcomes, and provide reassurance to families and carers during critical times. Key Responsibilities Provide a specialist and detailed statutory initial health assessment for all children and young people entering care, underpinned by The Guidance for Health Assessments for Looked After Children (Scotland) 2014. Work across a continuum of early prevention and intervention through to complex needs. Contribute to improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities for care‑experienced children and young people. Ensure identified health needs are addressed by the right people, at the right time. Provide specialist advice and guidance to multi‑agency partners, families, carers, and children. Requirements Registered Nurse with current NMC registration. Experience in child health, safeguarding, and working with vulnerable populations. Strong communication and partnership‑working skills. Ability to provide specialist clinical advice and support across agencies. Commitment to improving outcomes for care‑experienced children and young people. Full UK driving licence. Why Join Us?
