At Solution 47 Recruitment, we are partnering with a long-standing, highly respected engineering company based in Saffron Walden. This business is known for its superb shop floor environment, strong company culture, and commitment to producing high-quality engineered products. Due to continued success, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to strengthen their management team. About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Quality professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys driving continuous improvement. Working on-site 4.5 days per week, you will take ownership of the Quality Management System and play a key role in ensuring standards are maintained and enhanced across the business. Key Responsibilities Lead, maintain, and develop the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Plan, conduct, and follow up on internal audits; support external audits as required. Drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and ongoing improvement initiatives. Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and senior management to maintain consistent product and process quality. Manage quality documentation, reporting, KPIs, and compliance requirements. Oversee inspection processes, including first-off, in-process, and final inspections. Provide guidance and quality training to colleagues where required. Skills & Experience Proven experience in a Quality Manager or Senior Quality role within an engineering/manufacturing setting. Strong, practical understanding of ISO 9001 (essential). Confident conducting audits and managing QMS documentation. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Ability to confidently read engineering drawings and utilise inspection tools (desirable). What the Company Offers Salary of £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.
