The Opportunity As an SEND Specialist Tutor, you'll provide personalised, one-to-one lessons for students with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and sensory needs. Key responsibilities Plan and deliver tailored, multi-sensory lessons across various subjects Track progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to create effective learning plans Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes growth and independence This role is ideal for someone who wants to step beyond the traditional classroom and make a real difference in the lives of disengaged, at‑risk, or vulnerable learners. You'll plan and deliver personalised one-to-one lessons that inspire progress and boost confidence. Position Details Location - St Helens Position - SEND Specialist Tutor Type of work - Contract Start date - ASAP End date - Ongoing Contract type - Temporary Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on availability Hourly rate: up to 30.00p/h Hours - Flexible working hours available between 8am to 4pm Experience, Training and Qualifications QTS or equivalent Have experience working with SEND students UK classroom teaching experience Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box To be eligible for this role, you must Hold the right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references.
