About the Role As an Activities Coordinator at Alex Wood House Care Home, you will support the provision of meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities planned for our residents. You will engage residents, encourage participation in Lifestyles activities and promote person‑centred care across the home. Key Duties & Responsibilities Assist in the delivery of a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities programme based on person‑centred care principles, involving all residents. Champion person‑centred care with all team members to ensure residents are empowered to make or continue to make lifestyle choices relevant and appropriate to them. Actively engage with residents in conversations and meaningful occupation relating to their lifestyle choices at a pace that respects their dignity and communication differences. Training, Skills & Experience Required Experience organising and scheduling activity programmes in a healthcare environment. Excellent communication skills and genuine passion for enhancing the lives of residents. Knowledge of dementia is highly advantageous. Proven track record for leading, empowering, supporting and motivating a team. What We Offer Full induction. Competitive salary plus enhancements on bank holidays. 28 days holiday per year. Free Blue Light Card and access to the Blue Light discount platform. Refer a friend scheme. Salary & Working Hours £12.21 per hour. 20 hours per week, rotated Monday to Sunday.
