Distribution Centre Supervisor – ScS Location: Elland Distribution Centre Compensation: £28,050 / year Overview Are you looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? We’re on the lookout for a Distribution Centre Supervisor to join our team in Elland. This is a key role within the logistics network, supporting the leadership team by managing and supporting the team, coaching them to be the best they can, and ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout the delivery process. Responsibilities Oversee the unloading and receipt of goods into the warehouse. Supervise the completion of all checks and documentation required by law on delivery vehicles and ensure that the appropriate documentation is kept on file and available for inspection at all times. Oversee and undertake quality inspections of goods for delivery; initiate remedial action as required and ensure goods are wrapped for dispatch in line with company policy and established working practices. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, including training, developing and motivating them to optimise individual and collective performance. Proactively contribute to the management of health and safety within the DC. Monitor the workload of colleagues and ensure manual handling and other health and safety processes are followed. Supervise and assist the team with moving and handling of furniture and carpets within the warehouse. Supervise and contribute towards general housekeeping within the DC and vehicles, ensuring they meet company standards. Heavy lifting. Every Sunday off. Qualifications Experience working in a warehouse at a similar level. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strives to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. Team player.
