OverviewProperty Maintenance OperativeHours: Part-Time, Permanent, 20.5 hrs per weekLocation: WolverhamptonSalary: £24,000 - £28,000 pa, (depending on experience & qualifications)Nova Training has an exciting opportunity for a Property Maintenance Operative to join our busy professional building maintenance team across our centres.ResponsibilitiesTo work as part of a busy maintenance team.External maintenance of properties including fencing, gardening, weeding, patio / car park cleaning and decorative workPainting & decoratingRemoval and disposal of broken or disused furniture, fixtures, fittings and the installation of new ones as requiredBe confident in using both hand tools, power tools and garden machinery.To ensure a professional, quality service (external and internal) is always providedTo deal with the general upkeep of buildings by painting and decorating.Support with the installation of new IT and cable (Cat 5e) networksConduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbsInspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation, radiators, aircon)Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)To deal with small, general items of repair and maintenance in the interior and exterior of our buildings : e.g. putting up shelves, changing light bulbs, moving furniture.Able to be called upon during out of normal working hours on occasion.To undertake any relevant courses as required to support the in-company management of training centres, these courses may include but are not limited to : PAT testing, fire alarm system installation, testing and servicing, air-conditioning servicing (F-Gas) and any other courses as required to support the maintenance and health and safety of centres.Inform Facilities Manager of any additional works needed at location.RequirementsExperience working in a Maintenance role.A minimum of 3 years hand on experience in property maintenance and general repairs, OR building / electrical / plumbing / carpentry qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc)Willing and enthusiastic about undergoing training and improving on your professional skills.A full current driving license is essential.The ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools.To be proactive in approach, with the ability to use initiative and resolve issues or problems quickly and effectively.Able to work alone or as part of a team.Keep the company vehicle and equipment in top condition, adhering to regular maintenance schedules.
