ASC Specialist Teaching Assistant | Leeds

Location: Leeds
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm Opportunities

A welcoming specialist school in Leeds is looking for an ASC Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism across semi-formal and structured learning pathways.

Role Includes:

Supporting students with Autism (ASC) across small, focused learning groups

Using communication strategies such as PECs, visual supports or Makaton

Providing regulation support, routine-building and sensory strategies

Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team

Supporting personal care where required

Ideal Candidate:

✅ Experience supporting ASC in education or care
✅ Understanding of sensory needs and communication methods
✅ Calm, patient and consistent
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (child workeforce or child and adult workforce)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
