Lecturer in Hairdressing Location: Warwickshire Contract: Permanent, Part-time (approx. 22.2 hours per week) About the Role We are seeking a passionate and skilled Hairdressing Lecturer to deliver high‑quality hair and beauty education to Level 1 and Level 2 students, including apprentices. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your industry experience into a teaching setting and inspire the next generation of hair professionals. What you will do Plan and deliver practical and theory‑based hairdressing lessons (L1 & L2 hair and beauty, apprenticeships). Teach a weekly timetable of classes (approx. 22.2 hours/week), including sessions in the evenings and occasional daytime slots. Assess student work, track progress, and provide clear, constructive feedback. Support apprentices through their learning journey; guide them with target setting, action planning, and progression support. Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement, and progression. Participate in College events (e.g. open evenings, enrolment days) and contribute to the wider hair & beauty team. What We Offer Competitive Pay: £27,000 – £37,500 full‑time equivalent (pro rata) depending on experience. What We’re Looking For Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Hairdressing or a related qualification. Strong practical hairdressing experience; ideally with some teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience (industry or education). A positive, inclusive approach; committed to supporting students from diverse backgrounds. Confidence in planning lessons, assessment, and monitoring learner progress. Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. A willingness to work flexibly including some evening sessions, and occasional college events. Why This College?
