Clinical Pharmacist Team Lead – Surgical / Women and Children We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic pharmacist to lead clinical pharmacy services across the surgical, maternity and paediatric specialities within NHS Highland. The role offers the opportunity to work at an advanced clinical level, develop pharmacy services and make a tangible improvement to patient care. The post holder will have significant clinical experience and work at an advanced level. Direct patient care will account for 40‑50 % of the job plan, while 50‑60 % of the time will be spent on leadership, quality improvement and management tasks. Key responsibilities include: Develop and deliver clinical pharmacy services in the Surgical Division, ICU, SHDU, National Treatment Centre (Ophthalmology & Orthopaedics), Paediatric and Maternity units. Lead and support the multidisciplinary pharmacy team, including 3 Lead Pharmacists, Specialists and Rotational Pharmacists, and future Clinical Technician and Support Worker roles. Provide specialist advice and information sharing with the Rural General Hospital teams in Fort William and Wick to support standardised working across the three sites. Engage with technology initiatives such as robotics and the Health Education and Promotion Management Association (HEPMA) rollout, and contribute to the Highlands & Islands Pharmacy Research and Education Centre. Participate in an on‑call rota (approximately 1 in 25) and weekend working (around 6 days per year) and public holidays. Relocation package may be available for the right candidate.
