Production Planner

Castle Employment Group is working with a leading manufacturer to recruit an experienced Production Planner to join their team. The successful Production Planner will be responsible for: Creating and maintaining production schedules that meet customer demand and optimise resource use Coordinating with procurement, manufacturing and logistics to ensure material availability and timely production Adjusting schedules in response to delays, shortages or production challenges Monitoring inventory levels to ensure smooth workflow and avoid overstock or shortages Analysing capacity and identifying production bottlenecks, offering proactive solutions Collaborating with sales and marketing to align production with demand forecasts Identifying opportunities to reduce waste and control costs Driving continuous improvement initiatives across planning and production processes Preparing and presenting reports on production performance and KPIs The ideal candidate will have previous experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment and must have strong problem‑solving skills. You should also be proficient in ERP systems and planning software. The role would suit someone with a proactive and solutions‑driven mind‑set.
