Overview His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) is looking for hardworking and dedicated Prison Officers to join the team at HMP Eastwood Park. The position offers a salary of £33,746 – £38,003 and provides daily challenges in a fast‑paced environment where each day brings new situations and opportunities for development. Responsibilities Provide security and protect the public, ensuring the safety of inmates, staff and visitors. Maintain order and manage activities across the prison keeping everyone safe. Build constructive, positive and professional relationships with offenders, supporting their rehabilitation. Work shifts, weekends and in rotations as required. Serve in roles such as peacekeeper, counsellor or teacher depending on the day’s needs. No prior prison experience is required; we provide comprehensive training.
