The GP receptionist isresponsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and providingsupport to the multidisciplinary team. On occasion, there may bea requirement to carry out tasks not listed below, that are within thereasonable scope of the role.Maintainand monitor practice appointment systemProcesspersonal, telephone and e-requests for appointmentsAnswerincoming phone calls, dealing with the callers request appropriatelySignpostpatients to the correct serviceInitiatingcontact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members andexternal agenciesData entryof new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information asrequestedInput dataas necessary onto patients healthcare recordsDirectrequests for information to relevant team members i.e., SAR, DVLA forms, insurance/solicitorslettersManage allqueries as necessary in an efficient mannerCarry outsystem searches as requestedSupportall clinical staff with general tasks as requiredPhotocopydocumentation as requiredMaintain aclean, tidy and effective working areaMonitorand maintain the reception area and notice boardsIn addition to thecore responsibilities, the Receptionist may be requested to;1.Actionincoming emails and correspondence as necessary2.Completeopening and closing procedures in accordance with the rota3.Partake inaudit as directed by the audit lead4.Supportadmin team, providing cover during absences5.Scanpatient related documents and attach scanned documents to patients healthcarerecordPerson SpecificationQualificationsEducated to GCSE level or equivalentExperienceExperience in a GP practiceExperience with SystemOneClear, polite telephone mannerCompetent in the use of Office and OutlookDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
