As a Transport Team Manager, you will play an important part in ensuring the efficient running of all transport functions while making sure Health and Safety & Transport compliance is a top priority. This is a full time, permanent role with working hours of 4 on 4 off , 6am to 6pm. Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of £38,000 per annum, and 23.5 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). You’ll also have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more What you’ll do on a typical day: Manage the day-to-day running of transport operations across stores, outside storage and vendor operations. Lead, motivate, and support drivers and transport office teams across your shift. Deliver daily briefs and debriefs, ensuring clear communication and expectations. Manage driver performance, compliance, and behaviours, escalating where required. Ensure all incidents, delays, failures, and refusals are investigated and recorded. What you need to succeed at GXO: Previous experience working within a fast-paced transport environment, with confidence of managing drivers. Good understanding of transport regulations and compliance. Effective communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. CPC license - Would be an advantage.
