Previous experience is not necessary but it is a requirement that you have either the LPC or BPC qualification.Drafting correspondence, documents, witness statements etc.Liaising with clients.Attending court proceedings.Research projects and cases.Communicating with the legal aid agency.Whilst no prior experience is required you will need to demonstrate exceptional organisation skills; an attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your workload is a must. Communication skills to deal with a client facing role, a good telephone manner and a positive and proactive attitude is imperative.
