If these questions strike a chord, you may be interested in this Health, Safety and Environment Advisor position, joining their high-profile logistics and distribution hub in Lichfield. A large and busy operation, they handle around 500 vehicles each night across multiple warehouses. You'll report to the general manager and play a key part in how the night shift runs, supporting a team that works with more than a hundred external hauliers and a workforce of several hundred people.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Advisor will include:

Making sure the right policies and procedures are in place across the warehouse, distribution sites, offices, and field teams, and encouraging good safety practice.
Helping to develop and strengthen the wider health and safety approach during night shifts.
Running risk assessments, audits, site checks, and incident investigations, and turning the findings into clear actions for fleet, facilities, and field teams.
Working with internal teams and contractors to keep safety standards steady acrossbusy and varied sites.

The successful Health, Safety and Environment Advisor will have:

Ideally some experience within the Health and Safety industry ideally across the transport, logistics or distribution environment.
The confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
A NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum.

A salary of circa £35,000, plus a 10% and yearly pay increases.
