You will work as either 1:1 or with groups in helping young people with a range of barriers to learning, to access work set by class teachers and to navigate what can be very challenging days at school. Each day will bring a new challenge and also a new opportunity to help the child overcome daily difficulties and flourish at school. Doing this through academics means that, instead of committing to a restricting role in a specific school, you can try different schools, different age groups, and different types of SEND support in order to find your place and your career. Your Career, Your Way. A good Primary SEND Teaching Assistant will be: Someone who has experience in working with children. Someone who understands the importance of safeguarding in schools. Someone who is good at working with their own initiative and problem solving. Someone who puts the needs of children first. We will give a good Primary SEND Teaching Assistant: Competitive rates of 90-110 per day Free safeguarding training A stimulating and exiting environment where you will be challenged and rewarded daily A supportive team of consultants that will support you every step of the way. Role subject to an enhanced DBS check.
