Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Biased)

📍 Location: Brownhills
💰 Salary: c.£34,000 per annum
🕒 Hours: Monday-Thursday 7am-3pm, Friday 6am-4pm (Day Shift)

Are you a Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer looking for a role where you can grow, develop and truly be part of a great team? Our client, a successful and supportive SME manufacturing business, is offering an exciting opportunity for an engineer who's passionate about maintenance, improvement, and continuous learning.

The Role

You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment and facilities, ensuring machinery runs smoothly and downtime is minimised. You'll work closely with production teams to identify root causes of issues and deliver practical solutions - all while contributing to a positive and collaborative engineering culture.

What You'll Be Doing

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs

Troubleshooting mechanical faults across a range of machinery - bearings, chains, motors

Supporting process improvements and equipment upgrades

Working with a small, friendly team in a hands-on environment

Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards

Development & Progression

What You'll Need

Proven mechanical maintenance experience (manufacturing or similar environment)

Basic electrical knowledge is a bonus but not essential - training provided
