We have a rewarding opportunity available for 2 x Female* Assistant Recovery Navigators to join our Community Rehabilitation Team based at Wellbridge House. You will join us on a Permanent Contract, working full time 37.5 hours per week on a rota system including some evenings and weekends and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of between £24,242 to £26,240 depending upon experience plus benefits. Within this Partnership is Missing Link and Second Step. You will be employed by Missing Link and operationally managed by Second Step. The role is within a community-based service providing specialist support accommodation. The service can accommodate up to ten residents and the post holder will help to ensure that the service is warm, welcoming and safe. The service model is intentionally flexible, and you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues within the Community Spoke, delivering a high-quality recovery led service to clients. The role and accommodation focuses on providing support that is psychologically and trauma informed to service users struggling with their mental health. The support includes delivering effective interventions and treatments to people with long term mental health needs, their carers (including friends and relatives) and their supporters in the community. The post holder will enable clients to meet daily health, social care and wellbeing needs, which are in line with personal recovery goals, as well as facilitating engagement with mainstream services. Key duties and responsibilities Build trusting and a collaborative relationship with the service user.Work closely with carers, families and other services directly involved with service users.Contribute towards the co-production, implementation and review of recovery plans, risk assessments and other self-management tools, in partnership with service users in line with best practice.Ensure that safeguarding policies and procedures are fully adhered to and that a Think Family approach is embedded within working practice.Assist service users to make informed decisions about their emotional wellbeing, maximising their independence and providing advocacy role where appropriate.Ensuring safe service delivery, safeguarding service users, carers and families.Work in a culturally sensitive way for all service users, tailoring the service to meet their individual needs, challenging stigma and discrimination, advocating for person if appropriate, and ensuring up-to-date community knowledge. Work with a range of needs e.g. from young people to older people, LGBT service users, disabled people and with people with a range of backgrounds and ethnicity. This is not an exhaustive list of your duties and outlines the general ways in which it is expected you will meet the overall requirements of this post. What we are looking for in our ideal Female* Assistant Recovery Navigator Knowledge of the care and support needs of people with mental health needs.Some experience of working with vulnerable people either in a paid or voluntary capacity (for example, homelessness, alcohol/drug dependency, long term conditions, domestic abuse and sexual violence).Experience of managing competing needs and priorities.Knowledge of health and safety procedures.Knowledge of equal opportunities.The ability to maintain hope and optimism for the individual with high expectations for recovery.Manage caseload, documentation and time effectively, ensuring up to date and clear record keeping in line with policies and procedures.
