Contract Maintenance Technician - Electrical Bias (Shift-based Manufacturing)12-Month Contract | Competitive Hourly Rate + Overtime | 6-Week Rotating Shifts | Immediate Start We're seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a leading precision manufacturing and engineering business on a 12-month contract. This is a hands‑on, shift‑based role in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical production environment. The Role You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and control systems across production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Key tasks include: Electrical fault‑finding and repair on motors, drives, sensors, panels, and conveyors Diagnosing and resolving issues on PLCs, HMIs, and variable frequency drives Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs Performing preventive maintenance (PPM) and recording accurate maintenance data Supporting continuous improvement and root‑cause analysis activities Working safely under permit‑to‑work and lockout/tagout (LOTO) systems About You NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance Proven experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial automation environments Confident with PLC fault‑finding, electrical isolations, and technical documentation Flexible to work rotating day and night shifts (3 on / 3 off) What's on Offer Competitive hourly rate with overtime opportunities Access to on‑site facilities and technical development Opportunity to work with advanced production technology in a high‑integrity sector If you are an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Technician seeking a challenging contract within a world‑class manufacturing environment, apply now for immediate consideration. #J-18808-Ljbffr
