Consultant Psychiatrist About The Role UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Yorkshire Region, working across our West Yorkshire sites consisting of HMP Leeds a category B remand, HMP Wakefield a category A high secure prison and HMP Wealstun a category C prison. Working across a range of sites offers you the opportunities for a more varied work schedule and patient group. Within this position you will be working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team across all 3 sites including other Psychiatrists. Hours This role is 40 hours per week, the split will include the following sessions: 2 sessions at HMP Leeds 3 sessions at Wakefield 3 sessions at Wealstun 2 sessions CPD day Optional part‑time split by job share Salary You’ll receive an annual salary up to £196,736 per annum – FTE depending on experience. This will be pro rata for a part time role. How We Support You Part of a team of 20+ experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatrists Monthly Consultant’s meeting and 1:1 clinical supervision Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Responsibilities Provide excellent clinical care, assessment and treatment to patients on the case load onsite Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead senior mental health clinicians on service developments and provide clinical supervision Work within the multi‑disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi‑professional complex case reviews Seek to develop specialist knowledge/skills in neurodiversity Candidate Requirements Legal right to work in the UK Additional vetting and security checks due to the nature of the role Qualifications Required Registered professional with current GMC registration Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry Approved under section 12(2) of the MHS 1983 Understanding of complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working Up to date knowledge in adult psychiatry and personality disorder Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy and legislation Additional Benefits Discounts on shopping and leisure activities Support to grow in your role and continue professional development 24/7 employee assistance helpline and financial assistance when needed Practice Plus Group’s purpose is to Unlock your best work life and we stand by our core values: treat patients and each other as we would like to be treated, act with integrity, embrace diversity and strive to do things better together. #J-18808-Ljbffr
