Join to apply for the Senior Planner role at Costain Group PLC.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the supply chain and partners to develop and maintain integrated schedules.Support the Planning Manager and Project Controls lead through project assurance processes such as Integrated Baseline Reviews and Schedule Peer Reviews.Provide monthly reporting inputs and outputs in line with internal and client processes and requirements.Monitor progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement necessary adjustments.Input into planning workshops, provide ad‑hoc schedules as required, align cost forecast with schedules, and contribute to risk workshops and risk reduction meetings.Assist with supporting engineers in Aphex and maintain the P6 baseline for Tranche 5.Essential Skills & ExperienceSubstantial project and construction planning experience.Experience working on NEC contracts, applying terms and conditions and associated requirements.Detailed knowledge of Primavera P6 including use of cost & resources; Aphex planning software proficiency.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with stakeholders; understanding of budgeting, change control, earned value, risk management and other project controls techniques.Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills and ability to influence stakeholders.Good written and oral communication, including delivery of high‑quality reports, analysis results and risk management training.Experience of quantity tracking; experience of civils, fit‑out and M&E construction projects.Positive and enthusiastic approach, able to work without day‑to‑day supervision; airport experience.Primavera (P6) trained and experienced; experience in building cost and resource‑loaded plans; experience of Earned Value Analysis.Experience / understanding of interpreting estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools.High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills.Excellent MS Office skills.Desirable Skills & ExperienceRelevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment.The confidence to manage teams and communicate at all levels, driving commitments and improvements to meet commercial and technical objectives and deadlines.QualificationsHNC/HND, degree qualified or experience in a planning related discipline.Desirable QualificationsAPM Project Management Qualification.APMG International Project Planning and Control Practitioner or equivalent.PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI‑SP).Location NoteN.B.
