This is an urgent requirement with immediate starts available. Inspectors will work on a regional patch, attending site inspections daily and being based from the office on designated days (to be confirmed depending on workload). There is potential for 1 day working from home, and you will go straight home after inspections. Support Regional Repair Leads, Surveyors and Local Officers with responsive repairs, planned works, kitchens, bathrooms and cyclical referrals. Monitor repair quality using data, analysis and insight, initiating improvements when needed. Manage post‑inspection regimes and ensure poor‑quality work is followed through to successful resolution. Audit contractor performance, ensuring compliance with H&S obligations and codes of conduct. Oversee repair order variations, ensuring accurate costs and identifying trends for escalation. Assist with stock condition inspections and initial surveys. Raise performance awareness across teams and share insight to address under/over performance. Support implementation and improvement of repair monitoring systems and reporting processes. Maintain full H&S awareness and ensure all works are completed compliantly. Build strong knowledge of your property patch, contractors and internal stakeholders. Provide technical expertise to colleagues and support directorate‑wide risk management. Attend contractor meetings and contribute to KPI management and improvements. Act as a resident champion, ensuring resident‑focused outcomes at every stage. Requirements Experience working within the repairs sector, including pre/post inspections, audits and quality checks. Ability to diagnose, specify and manage schedules of work. Strong contractor management experience. Experience writing and disseminating technical reports. Good understanding of relevant legislation, statutory and regulatory requirements. Desired DEA/FRA Assessor trained.
