BMS Project/Design Engineer – London/Southeast – £65,000

The BMS Project/Design Engineer position
You’ll be responsible for producing complete BMS designs, including control schematics, points lists, and I/O schedules, while supporting the successful delivery of projects from concept through to commissioning. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, software engineers, and clients to ensure the solution is technically sound, cost-effective, and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities
* Create detailed BMS system designs, control strategies, schematics and schedules
* Work closely with PMs and clients to finalise project scopes and system architecture
* Attend design meetings and support pre-commissioning/commissioning planning
* Provide technical support to the installation and commissioning teams
* Ensure all work complies with relevant specifications and standards
* Assist in value engineering and cost optimisation across projects
Skills and experience required
Essential:
* Experience in BMS design (Trend, Tridium or Cylon)
* Understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies
* Familiarity with creating I/O lists, control panel drawings, and schematics
* Good communication skills and ability to work within project teams
Desirable:
* Experience with BMS integration and smart building platforms
* Knowledge of commissioning processes and BMS software tools
