We are looking for a BANKAdult Nurse to join our friendly, inclusive and forward‑thinking District Team, working across the West Lancashire area to provide care and support to patients in community settings. The team is based out of Clayton House in Burscough. We have a variety of shifts available to fit around you and your personal life – the choice is yours Please note that this role requires a full driving license as it is community based. Responsibilities To work as part of the 24‑hour district nursing service, under the direction of the District Nursing Team Manager / Leader, providing high quality holistic care to patients. The District Nurse role carries delegated responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence‑based nursing to patients in their own homes. To assume delegated responsibility for the supervision of the team in the absence of the District Nursing Team Leader, when required. Qualifications & Skills A Degree/Diploma in Adult Nursing First level registered nurse Experience working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team / multi‑agency working (Desirable) Understanding of undertaking complex assessments and the planning and evaluation of care package Excellent communication, both written and verbal Evidence of effective interpersonal skills Clinical risk assessment skills Ability to problem‑solve and make clinical decisions Understanding of NMC standards and implications to practice Ability to work independently in the community setting High clinical standards We have built organisation‑wide committees in many specialist fields. Package Description £18.71 an hour Self‐booking and access to all bank shifts Staff are given access to all bank shifts within their Business Unit and can self‑book providing they meet the shift requirements. Request a Duty – staff can make shifts or day‑off requests prior to the creation of a roster up to six weeks in advance.
