Water Field Technician – BUUK Infrastructure Join BUUK Infrastructure to deliver high‑standard water network maintenance and construction across the Brighton area, covering Eastbourne, Crawley, Chichester and surrounding sites. Job Details Location: Brighton area (field based) Contract Type: Permanent Posting End Date: 09/12/2025 Salary: £35,385 Purpose of the Role Provide field support to the water asset team, ensuring the water network is constructed and installed to a high standard, delivers wholesome drinking water and remains robust for the future. Key Responsibilities Act as the escalation point to liaise with developers, customers and contractors. Engage with site stakeholders during both planned and unplanned incidents. Ensure the quality and integrity of the network is maintained as part of a structured audit strategy. Audit and assess construction activities related to IWNL water mains. When on customer site, through diagnostics or observation, ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Ensure all assets comply with the technical and regulatory standards as detailed by IWNL. Undertake water sampling following an outage, in accordance with DWTS UKAS 17025 standard. Attend meetings with site and construction personnel. Complete internal and external pressure and flow readings. Qualifications Any other tasks required by line manager. SHEA Water certification. CSCS or equivalent. Experience / Knowledge Experience working within the water industry. Experience in a customer‑facing role. Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards and policies. Abilities / Skills Positive and proactive attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills. Desirable National Water Hygiene qualification. Confined spaces experience. Network/leakage qualification. Conditions of Employment Criminal records check via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) – required for entry into customers’ homes. Participation in a standby rota. Hold a valid driving licence. What We Offer Cost‑of‑living annual pay review.
