Job Title Nursery / Reception (EYFS/Early Years) ASD Specialist – Chelmsford, Essex Overview A full‑time, long‑term position in a Good Ofsted graded primary school. The role involves providing specialist support for a young, non‑verbal student with ASD, including personal care and use of MAKATON, as well as running small group and individual teaching sessions. Responsibilities Work within the Reception unit, offering 1‑1 support and group lessons in Phonics, Spelling, Reading & Writing. Deliver creative, sensory‑based activities and provide personal care. Support pupils with Special Educational Needs, coordinating with the team. Adopt the EYFS curriculum and integrate sensory strategies. Qualifications & Experience Degree from a reputable university. Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum. Experience and knowledge of ASD, particularly non‑verbal students. Experience with MAKATON preferred. Comfortable working within a large team and possessing a bubbly, engaging personality. Salary & Location £88‑£105 per day, full‑time, for the full academic year. Chelmsford, Essex.
