Job Title: Supply Teaching Assistant Location: York Contract Type: Supply Start Date: January About the Role We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across the York area from the New Year. This is a flexible role, perfect for individuals looking to build experience in a variety of school settings or for those needing work that fits around other commitments. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning and development across different year groups. Working alongside class teachers and support staff, you'll help create a positive, inclusive environment where every student can succeed. Key Responsibilities Classroom Support: Assist teachers with lesson delivery, supporting students individually or in small groups. Individual Support: Provide tailored help to pupils with additional needs, ensuring full participation and progress. Behaviour Support: Promote positive behaviour and help maintain an inclusive, engaging classroom environment. Resource Preparation: Support with preparing and organising learning materials. Flexibility: Work across different classes, year groups, and subjects, adapting to each school's needs. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is preferred but not essential. Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships. Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working in new environments.
