Female Support Assistant – Innovate Care GroupLocation: Rickmansworth, England, United KingdomSalary: £14.85-£16.85 per hourEmployment type: Part‑time/Full‑time (variable shifts – days, or days & nights)Job OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to support a young woman in living as independently as possible and achieving her full potential. This role offers practical, emotional and social support within a close‑knit team delivering a personalised care plan.Key ResponsibilitiesHelp develop non‑verbal communication skills, particularly using Intensive Interaction and Makaton Signing (training provided).Support participation in community activities such as farming projects, swimming, dining out and walks.Facilitate involvement in music projects, including collaborations with the London Symphony Orchestra and local music groups.Encourage and enable the client to overcome challenges, build confidence and celebrate achievements.Assist with meal preparation and receive training in diet and nutrition.Provide dignified and respectful personal care as required.Maintain a safe and secure environment at home and during outings.Work closely with a team to implement the support plan effectively.Communicate openly with the client’s family and other significant people, maintaining trust and reassurance.Adapt to changing needs and undertake other reasonable tasks as required.Ideal Candidate CriteriaFemale (due to the personal care aspect of the role)Valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.At least 1 year of care experience – ideally in a home‑care or domiciliary role.For day shifts – a swimmer, as swimming is a key activity in the support plan.Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceInterpersonal skills: sense of humour, communication, empathy, compassion, emotional intelligence, respect, teamwork.Professional attributes: patience, reliability, punctuality, emotional resilience, honesty, positive outlook.Adaptability: flexibility, openness to new challenges, calm under pressure.Enabling attitude: encouraging, non‑judgemental, commitment to equality and diversity.Practical skills: strong observational and organisational abilities, inquisitiveness, team‑oriented approach.BenefitsComprehensive gold‑standard training, including Intensive Interaction and Makaton Signing.Dynamic, supportive team and inclusive network.Career advancement opportunities – CPD and revalidation support.Streamlined recruitment and onboarding.Contributory pension scheme.Weekly payroll.Employee Assistance Programme with free confidential support.EEO StatementInnovate Care Group is an equal opportunity employer.
