Job Overview The post holder will play a key role in the coordination of data for Southmead Hospital, the Adult Major Trauma Centre (MTC) in the Severn Major Trauma Network. The role involves extracting, interpreting, and submitting clinical information from patient records of all major trauma patients admitted to this MTC in line with national deadlines, guidance and requirements for the National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR). The MTC is part of the Severn Major Trauma Operational Delivery Network and therefore there is a supportive component to the extended Trauma Units and Children’s Major Trauma Centre within the Severn network. This post also requires providing efficient and timely administrative duties to the Major Trauma Centre (MTC) Management team and Major Trauma Practitioners (MTPs). The Major Trauma Service delivers a 7‑day a week service and therefore the post holder may need to be part of occasional weekend cover as part of a rota.
