English Teacher, ACADEMICS Start: January 2026 Salary: Pay to Scale - M1-UPS Pay Scale Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire Role: English Teacher Job Type: Full-time We are working with a lovely secondary school situated in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire who are in need of an enthusiastic English Teacher for a January 2026, on a permanent basis. We’re looking for: Enthusiasm and commitment A candidate who has a QTS or equivalent Someone who can teach up to KS3, 4 and 5 Creativity Someone who cares passionately about supporting children both academically and across all aspects of their development An excellent teacher High expectations of both self and others Effective communication skills Inter-personal skills Someone who can contribute to the further development of the school Fresh and exciting ideas A team player Responsibilities The English Teacher selected for this position must maintain a high quality of teaching to ensure pupils achieve targets. They will establish and maintain the standards of pupil behaviour required to create an orderly and productive environment. They will create a safe and supportive learning environment with routines and structures that align with the school's core values and ethos. An enhanced DBS check will take place prior to employment. Qualifications / Experience The school is looking for an English Teacher with experience in a UK classroom and requires a recognised teaching qualification and UK QTS. Applicants must provide an up-to-date CV with at least two school‑based references within the last 2 years.
