Overview Tiny Tugs Medway NHS Foundation Trust Day Nursery cares for children aged 6 months to 5 years in a purpose-built day nursery setting located conveniently on the hospital site for Trust employees. An exciting opportunity to offer two qualified practitioners to join our well-established team of dedicated early years professionals who take a holistic approach to learning and place every child at the centre of what they do to achieve the best outcomes. Responsibilities Contribute to delivering an ambitious curriculum of engaging play and learning activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage and ensure the holistic development of each child in a safe, secure, emotionally and physically stimulating environment. Deliver permanent teaching practice for 37.5 hours per week on a flexible shift pattern basis. Commit to continuous professional development to enhance knowledge and skills and help every child reach their potential. Safeguard children with the highest priority and provide continuity of care for the groups of children within the day nursery. Work collaboratively with a team of like-minded professionals ensuring a safe, secure, emotionally and physically stimulating environment and programme of activities for child development. Plan and provide a wide range of fun, educational play activities covering all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and individual child development. Be responsible for the children in your care and provide a consistently safe, secure, and stimulating environment that fosters their well‑being. Ensure children receive the highest standards of care and attention, treating every individual with dignity and respect. Report any accidents or issues involving children, staff or parents to the managers. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the nursery, promoting personal hygiene and monitoring toilet procedures and equipment. Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and supervise meal times. Attend regular training sessions and term‑length staff training and development days. Respect the principle of confidentiality of information gained through the role at all times. Be a key person for a group of children supporting them and their parents through their learning and developmental journey. Have sound knowledge of safeguarding children and understanding of local policies and procedures for raising concerns.
