Staff Nurse - Surgical - General Surgery Join to apply for the Staff Nurse - Surgical - General Surgery role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. Shift Pattern Rotational pattern consisting of a mixture of Early, Late and 12‑hour shifts. Pro‑Rata salary for part‑time hours. Location Glasgow Royal Infirmary – two receiving wards: Ward 63 (30 beds) and Ward 64 (30 beds). Role Overview An exciting opportunity for a Band 5 registered nurse to join the enthusiastic surgical receiving nursing team. You will see patients directly from A&E and GP for assessment. The patient group presents with a wide range of surgical conditions. Responsibilities Plan and deliver safe nursing care to patients in surgical receiving wards. Support the management of unscheduled care targets, ensuring safe and efficient flow of the patient journey. Work alongside experienced nurses, surgical nurse practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team. Develop knowledge and skills in a variety of general surgical specialties. Qualifications & Requirements Live NMC UK pin required. Band 5 registered nurse. Previous experience or interest in surgical receiving nursing is advantageous.
