Support Staff Temporary Work Placement Co-ordinator We welcome applications for this support post to commence January 2026 for one year to cover a period of maternity leave. The Role Taking the lead in building and developing Industrial Placements for students studying on TLevels / transition or towards CDF hours by working in collaboration with colleagues and employers. Developing and managing processes and systems to promote opportunities for students to develop and practice practical and technical knowledge and behaviours relevant to their study programme and related job role. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include: Continuously striving to build, maintain and improve relationship with both learners and employers whilst being an ambassador for the college Arrange specific support for learners in relation to SEND/LLDD needs to enable them to access suitable work placements. Continuously and proactively engaging with both new and existing employers and businesses to build the number and range of organisations who are willing to host meaningful work experience placements Maintaining and overseeing live and accurate records and details of all employers and businesses who are involved in facilitating work experience placements For the full job description please see attached Job Pack . The Successful Candidate Cardinal Newman College is a wonderful place to work, and this is an exciting opportunity for a enthusiastic and experienced candidate to join our friendly and well established department. The Work Experience and Employability department is looking for someone who has experience generating sales, marketing and promoting services, products and of developing relationships with employers, good working knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Office and has experience of working in a busy environment with the ability to respond positively to high work demands. You should display the values, attitudes, and behaviours consistent with the Catholic Ethos of the College and have a commitment to equality/diversity and the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults. Terms and Conditions Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only. Starting and finishing times as agreed. Part time requests will be considered. Salary: The post will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Support Staff Pay Spine at points 17 to 19 - pro rata to £34,253 to £36,564 per annum. Actual Salary £29,554.61 to £31,548.61 per annum. An additional payment of 10% of your actual salary will be made on the successful completion of the fixed-term contract.
