Job: CNC Machinist / Miller Location: Bristol Hours: Standard Days Salary: £17-£18ph AMLR is partnering with a reputable engineering company to recruit a skilled, reliable, and time-served CNC Machinist/Miller to join their team. Based at a state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility in Bristol, the company offers cutting‑edge technology and bespoke engineering solutions, backed by years of industry expertise. Important: Due to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents and will be subject to a DBS check. Key Responsibilities for the CNC machinist/ miller role Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (mills) to produce parts. Use precision measuring instruments to check the quality of parts against specifications and tolerances. Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical schematics. Experience with specific CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Mazak) and potentially CAD/CAM software (not required as on setting operating but advantageous). Familiarity with working in a quality‑controlled environment, such as one that follows ISO9001 standards. Completion of in‑process inspection sheets and rout cards. Cutting tool setup, work holding selection and setting of datums using Renishaw probing, dial indicators and edge finders, as applicable. Jig and fixture manufacture. Aerospace experience preferable. Required Qualifications & Skills for the CNC machinist/ miller role Apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds qualification preferred. Minimum 3 years machining experience.
