Consultant Social Worker - Children's Integrated Front Door Join Stoke-on-Trent City Council as a Consultant Social Worker, working within the Children’s Integrated Front Door service in the Children and Family Services Directorate. Role Overview The Integrated Front Door is a conversation-based referral process that enables rapid, evidence-based decision making and intervention for children and families. In this role you will act as a decision maker, lead strategy discussions and occasionally work directly with children in intervention. Responsibilities Deliver frontline social work practice within the Integrated Front Door framework. Make decisions on referrals, conduct assessments and provide interventions at the right time, by the right service. Lead on strategy discussions and maintain manageable caseloads to enable direct work with children. Collaborate with partner agencies, families and communities to build relationship‑based practice and a strengths‑based approach. Work flexibly, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8 am–6 pm, as part of the rota system for this post. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Social Work or equivalent. Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience of making a difference to the lives of children and young people. Experience working in a MASH or Assessment service, with decision‑making and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet the travel requirements of the post.
