Are you a talented Electrical Engineer with a passion for safety and innovative design? My client, a leading specialist in earthing and lightning protection, is seeking a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring worker and public safety across a variety of power transmission and construction projects. Working closely with Senior Engineers, you’ll contribute to the development of cutting‑edge designs, undertake site testing, and support junior team members in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Develop earthing and (ideally) lightning protection designs for diverse projects. Collaborate with experienced lead and senior engineers. Stay informed about national, international, and client‑specific standards. Conduct EMF and AC interference studies for new and existing power transmission projects. Perform Impressed Voltage studies to advise on safe construction practices near HV equipment. Create detailed 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD. Undertake site testing, including soil resistivity and earth impedance measurements. About You Qualifications A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Experience Experience in HV electricity networks, particularly in earthing systems, is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus. Open to receiving training in this specialist area. Key Attributes Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
