Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior Associate Join to apply for the Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior Associate role at Clarke Willmott Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom About The Role Due to growth, we are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Commercial Litigation team in Birmingham. The combined Bristol and Birmingham team is led by Partners Alex Jakubowski, Richard Moore, David Stedman and Damian Pitts. You will work with the entire team and closely with David Stedman to develop our presence in Birmingham and grow our litigation team there. This is an opportunity to become a core member of a growing team. Day-to-day responsibilities Handle a wide variety of dispute resolution work, including contract disputes, professional negligence, banking, intellectual property, defamation, fraud, procurement, partnership and shareholder disputes for a range of commercial and corporate clients. Manage your own caseload across the range of our specialisms and support Partners and Associates on more complex and large-scale claims. Get involved in business development activities and play a full part as a member of a supportive team. Comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures. What makes you right for this role Ideally 4–8 years qualified experience within Commercial Litigation, though applications from outside this band with a particularly strong CV will be considered. Proactive and flexible, capable of working both individually and as part of a team; able to prioritise multiple projects and demonstrate strong commercial litigation experience. Strong written and oral communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent client service. You should be able to use initiative and be a forward-planner, anticipating client needs. Strong academic achievement and a desire to develop your career as a litigator with initiative, pragmatism, good client skills and the ability to thrive in a friendly, supportive team.
