OverviewHead of Residential Conveyancing – Swansea OfficeLocation: Swansea, South WalesSalary: £55,000 per annum + Performance-Based BonusJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentHybrid Working: 4 days in office / 1 day WFHA highly respected, award-winning legal practice with offices across South Wales is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor / Legal Executive / Licensed Conveyancer to take the lead in launching and growing their conveyancing presence in Swansea.This is a unique opportunity for a senior-level conveyancer to step into a leadership role, build and run a team from the ground up, and become a key part of the firm’s strategic expansion.The RoleYou will be the lead figure in establishing the firm’s conveyancing offering in Swansea, with autonomy to shape the department’s structure, performance, and culture. Working closely with the Head of Conveyancing and Managing Director, you’ll drive business growth and maintain the firm’s high standards of client service and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including:Freehold and leasehold sales and purchasesRemortgages, new builds, shared ownership/equity, and transfers of equityDevelop and maintain strong relationships with local estate agents, brokers, and referral partnersIdentify and pursue business development opportunities to grow the firm’s presence in the regionProvide mentorship, training, and supervision to junior members of the teamContribute to strategic planning and performance improvement initiatives across the wider conveyancing departmentRequirementsQualified Solicitor, CILEX, or Licensed ConveyancerMinimum 4 years’ post-qualification experience in residential conveyancingDemonstrated experience managing a conveyancing team or departmentIn-depth knowledge of all aspects of residential property law and proceduresAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent client serviceTrack record of business development or strong local professional network highly desirablePackage & BenefitsSalary: £55,000 per annumPerformance-related bonus scheme25 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday offStaff legal fee discountStrong career development opportunities within a growing and forward-thinking firmWorking PatternThis role is based in the firm’s Swansea office, with a hybrid working model of 4 days in-office and 1 day remote.This is a rare leadership opportunity within a modern, ambitious law firm that truly values its people.
