Job Description: Clinical / Counselling Psychologist - Edgbaston Mindplace (Face to Face) Location: Birmingham B15 3BU Permanent Competitive salary + Fantastic benefits Part-time hours available: Minimum of 4 sessions/ 2 days per week Full-time roles are available, offered on a hybrid basis - combining both onsite and remote working We'll be very happy to have discussions around the flexibility of working patterns, and how the needs of the service can be met with any current arrangements you have. Session Requirements: We can offer sessions from Monday to Friday: 07:30am/08:00am to 15:30pm/ 16:00pm and 14:00pm - 22:00pm Weekends 08:30-17:00. Your Role: As a Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services, you'll use your training and education to support our customers by providing education on how to live longer, healthier, happier lives. You'll spend the majority of your time with our customers, doing what you do best. Responsibilities: Provide high-quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes. Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence-based intervention. Offer different models of service delivery: face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations. Adhere to Bupa's case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the therapy team. Work within sessional limits based on the client's Private Medical Insurance allowance. Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed. Offer ad-hoc wellbeing support and coaching. Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations. Provide group psychoeducation and mental health awareness through remote presentations, workshops, and training. Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa's service policies. Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings. Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences. Key Skills / Qualifications: Essential: Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society. Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist. General adult mental health experience. At least 1 year's post‑qualification clinical experience. Desirable: Training and accreditation in specialised areas of psychological relevance. Corporate experience. Excellent leadership and management skills. Key Skills & Experience: General adult mental health specialism experience. Corporate experience and business understanding. Up‑to‑date CPD. Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Systems and electronic medical record systems. Ability to evaluate, plan, and prioritise workload within demanding time scales. Proven customer service and client liaison experience. Excellent application of clinical knowledge. Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Experience managing own caseload and working towards individual targets and outcomes. High standards in written and oral communication. Diverse and varied clinical experience. Personal Characteristics: Well‑developed communication skills. Effective time management. Ability to work autonomously in a busy environment. Understanding of a corporate environment. Ability to work at pace. Excellent team player. Strong problem‑solving capability. Strong professional and personal drive. Ability to respond rapidly and decisively.
