About the School Wombourne High School is a thriving, inclusive school with a strong commitment to supporting all students in achieving their full potential. Role Overview As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will support students with personal, social, developmental and behavioural problems to help them identify and realise their full potential both inside and outside school. You will also support the team on a day-to-day basis, providing administration as directed. Key Responsibilities Work closely with students experiencing personal, social, developmental and behavioural challenges. Assist students in identifying and realising their potential. Provide daily support and intervention in a regulated environment. Offer day-to-day administrative support to the pastoral team. Engage families and external agencies where appropriate. Maintain accurate and confidential records. Qualifications & Checks Relevant pastoral or educational experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to safeguarding and child protection. Good understanding of the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025 guidelines. Enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List verification. Mandatory online DBS completion upon appointment. Not barred from working with children. Employment Details Timing: Part-time Working hours: Flexible within school timetable.
