A Cover Teacher is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South East London.

This Cover Teacher position can be part or full time and be short term in the first instance.

If appointed as a Cover Teacher, your duties and expectations will include but not be limited to:

Cover different lessons in the absence of class teachers
Manage pupil behaviour effectively and promote positive behaviour
Engage with pupils in classes and ensure the schools behaviour policies
Hold good understanding of ICT and how to carry out basic administrative tasks
Demonstrate a positive attitude and adapt to different situations effectively

The rates of pay for this Cover Teacher role will be between £82.14 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

A 'Good' Secondary School & Sixth Form located in the London Borough of Bexley.

Sports & Health is the school's specialism, with a lot of importance placed on Physical, Mental and Social Wellbeing.

Sports competitions at the school are a staple, with the main games being for Football, Badminton, Handball, Netball, Basketball and Cricket.

Based on past exam results, the school has been placed in the top 18% of schools nationally.

Four learning hubs form the foundation of the school - World Studies, Creative Voice, Active Science & Enterprise.

The local community has also provided positive feedback towards the pupils, saying they are very well mannered and behaved.

Requirements

You will be considered if you're a recent Graduate or qualified and experienced Cover Teacher.

Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained Cover Teacher or overseas trained Cover Teacher.

All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Cover Teacher:

Right to work in the UK
Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent
Experience of working with children/teenagers or as a Cover Teacher in UK schools
