About The Role We are an elective surgery hospital, delivering in excess of 15,000 inpatient and daycase procedures a year. Consultant Anaesthetists at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Southampton work with patients across a range of specialties, including Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Dental, Ophthalmology, General surgery, ENT and Urology. What you’ll be doing As our Consultant Anaesthetist, you will provide a wide range of anaesthetic cover – the main specialities covered include Ophthalmology, ENT and Urology in the first instance. This will be on an elective basis except where a postoperative patient requires a return to theatre. In addition to the clinical duties, you will undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of your patients and with the running of the Department. You will be responsible for producing the appropriate clinical records for each patient and work with local managers and professional colleagues in the efficient running of services.
