Join to apply for the Facilities Technician role at The City of Edinburgh Council. Location: Waverley Court. Salary: £26,337 - £28,835 per annum. Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks (Mon–Fri 11am–7pm). As a Facilities Technician with the City of Edinburgh Council, you will be a key member of our Facilities Management team. You will deliver a vital janitorial service across our estate to ensure our properties are safe places to work or learn. Major Tasks and Job Activities You will undertake day‑to‑day FM, janitorial and DIY operations across one or more buildings, ranging from small repairs and general maintenance to reactive cleaning, supporting moves and conducting basic security functions. Equipment, furniture and fitting maintenance Building maintenance and services Security of premises and grounds Grounds maintenance Cleaning / Tidying This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required and must be provided. Acceptance into the role is contingent upon satisfactory outcomes of these pre‑employment checks.
