Salaried GP – Langley Medical Practice (6‑8 sessions) Join Kingston GP Chambers as a salaried GP working 6‑8 sessions per week (Tuesday‑Friday) with equitable shares of home visits and on‑call duties. The role begins January 2026. Job Summary Langley Medical Practice serves ~9 000 patients in Surbiton Health Centre. It is part of a Primary Care Network with shared allied health resources and extended hours services. The GP will work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting partners and potentially expanding clinical hours. Clinical Responsibilities Provide surgery consultations, emergencies, telephone consultations, triage, home visits, repeat prescription checks and signings, patient test results, medical reports, and referral letters. Make professional autonomous decisions for self‑referrals or referrals from other health workers. Record clear, contemporaneous IT‑based consultation notes to agreed standards. Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions, avoiding hand‑written prescriptions where possible. Prescribe in line with local or national guidelines and the practice formulary. Manage care plans, including those for end‑of‑life care. Carry out duties as a duty doctor (PM triage and urgent appointments) and provide out‑of‑hours cover as required. Collect audit data, complete an annual prescribing audit, and support practice policy compliance. Other Responsibilities Adhere to practice policies (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health & safety). Commit to life‑long learning and evidence‑based audit. Contribute to clinical standard setting and development of computer‑based patient records. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Completion of a Vocational GP Training scheme. Full GMC registration with licence to practice and listing on the GP register. Certification of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice, or equivalent (CEGPR, MPOL). Evidence of continuous professional development. Desirable: Post‑graduate clinical training certificate. Specialist interest area(s).
