Main Duties & Objectives:
HB Recruit are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate heating designer. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years' experience designing and leading the installation of heating systems in a range of properties.

  1. You will have experience of designing projects from concept 'as design' and unbuilt developments to retrofitting installations on both domestic and commercial ASHP and HVAC installations.
  2. You will be experienced and comfortable with both the electric and heating/mechanical aspects of the installation and you will hold relevant industry qualifications.
  3. You will join a team of individuals passionate about renewable energy.
  4. You will be responsible for the whole lifecycle of each of your projects from full design through to assisting with specification and sign off of each installation.
  5. You will be required to carry out site visits and surveys for prospective installations of domestic and commercial installations as required.
  6. You will be familiar with a range of technology manufacturers.
  7. Your day to day work will be designing and signing off ASHP installations and as such you will be proficient performing full heat loss calculations.
  8. You will be responsible for the production of tender, pricing and design packages.
  9. You will have experience and working knowledge of dealing with District Network Operators.
  10. You will be comfortable working alone as well as a team and will be reporting directly to senior management.

Heat Geek CertificationElectrical or mechanical engineering degree or significant heating design and installation experience4+ years in the design installation and specification of domestic and commercial ASHP and HVAC systemsProficient using heat loss calculation softwareExperience with CHP, boilers, Solar PV, gas and battery storage desirable
