Join to apply for the Sport Lecturer role at South Hampshire College Group.We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and skilled Sports Lecturer. We are looking for someone who can work either 0.8 FTE or full time hours.Benefits:10 weeks leave per year, plus bank holidays.Regular training and development.Duties:Teach on courses and work to develop an outstanding provision that has a positive impact on the learner and assessment process.Assist in the development of teaching and learning materials, preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and maintaining records to monitor learner progression, achievement and attendance.Provide appropriate and relevant guidance for learners enabling them to develop knowledge, understanding and skills.Develop and implement timely, safe, consistent and relevant assessment plans and resources that are linked to initial and current assessments.Skills/Experience:Utilise your wealth of technical skills and experience to teach students on programmes at level 1, 2 and 3 through theory and practical knowledge.Teaching/tutoring/mentoring experience with apprentices, part time or full time learners.A passion for imparting knowledge and skills to create better futures for our students.Well organised with excellent communication skills.Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages.Qualifications:Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths or equivalent.Level 3 qualification in relevant area of expertise.Commitment to achieving teaching qualifications.Assessor and Moderator/IQA Award is desirable.Ideal Attributes:Comfortable talking and engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.Highly organised, collaborative and enthusiastic team player.Keenness to the industry and willingness to undergo further training and development.Aspirational and dedicated to maintaining high standards.Professional, respectful and resilient, thriving in a high trust and high performance culture.Ability to make a significant contribution to our mission to provide excellence and opportunity in both technical and professional education, training and apprenticeships.About UsThe South Hampshire College Group (SHCG) is a dynamic, purpose driven Further Education organisation with a commitment to Creating Better Futures for learners, employers and communities within South Hampshire and beyond.We pride ourselves on living our values – Collaborative, Inclusive and Aspirational.
