Paralegal - Insurance at DAC Beachcroft 3 weeks ago – Be among the first 25 applicants Department: CSG – Casualty (EL/PL / Complex Injury / Disease / Fraud / Motor Injury / Vehicle Hire and Damage) Location: Newport Description We are looking for Paralegals to join our market‑leading CSG team that works with over 40+ insurance companies and self‑insured corporates across the UK. You will be based at our Newport office (South Wales) and will be required to attend the office 5 days a week during probation. Following successful completion of probation you can discuss a hybrid approach with your manager, in line with business requirements. Our next Assessment Centre will be held in early 2026 and successful candidates will be contacted prior to discussions. Vehicle Hire and Damage Team Our Vehicle Hire and Damage team provides a comprehensive, end‑to‑end solution for defendant credit hire dispute resolution. We offer proactive advice to help clients anticipate issues and develop effective strategies. The team handles a wide range of claims, from small track to multi‑track, including fraudulent cases. Our expertise covers liability, indemnity, and associated losses such as personal injury, credit repair, and diminution. Motor Injury Team Our Motor Injury team represents insurers and corporates in investigating and resolving complex or high‑value vehicular personal injury claims. We manage all stages of the process, including pre‑litigation, MOJ, infant approvals, OIC, small‑track, and fast‑track matters. With a progressive approach and a market‑leading reputation, the team goes beyond litigation and analyses behaviours and trends to deliver bespoke strategies that help clients achieve the best possible outcomes. Manage a varied caseload of pre‑litigated or litigated work. Screen matters for prospects and liaise with clients upon receipt of instructions. Review instructions and provide client advice on case prospects. Resolve claims through negotiation and litigation within client service standards. Instruct experts and counsel; draft Witness Statements and other court documents. Maintain proactive communication with clients and their customers to manage expectations. Meet individual performance measures (financial performance, realisation rates and other KPIs). Ensure the DAC Beachcroft brand and standards are maintained. We’re also keen to hear from paralegals or legal assistants with experience in a legal setting. Previous exposure to litigation and/or insurance claims would be highly beneficial, however all training will be provided. Prioritisation and organisation skills – structure your time well and recognise when to ask for help. Interpersonal skills – communicate effectively with clients, intermediaries and colleagues. Analytical skills – critically assess factual evidence and identify key legal arguments. Commercial sense – know the principle of law and when it is worth pursuing.
