This role is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day functions within the Operations Warehouse by serving and processing all Air Canada Cargo customers for Import & Export Cargo. The role includes liaising with Air Canada Cargo Operations, Customer Service Unit, Sales, Headquarters and external third parties. It also ensures compliance with Service Level Agreements for Air Canada Customers on both Inbound and Outbound Cargo. Responsibilities Plan / assign duties to Warehouse Attendants as required and ensure that rest breaks are incorporated and planned with minimum disruption to operations Ensure Warehouse Attendants are rotated and assigned different job functions on a regular basis, to ensure continued use of skills Coordinate and ensure that all warehouse functions / responsibilities are completed Be visible at all times, assist in the warehouse operation and provide coaching & support where required Oversee the acceptance and delivery of Cargo / Mail within our warehouse facility ensuring SOPs (standard operating procedures) are adhered to. Coordinate the planning / build of flights per the Booking List provided in Weblynx Ensure all health & safety procedures are applied according to company SOPs Ensure all security procedures are adhered to in accordance with current company and regulatory procedures Ensure all incidents / accident are reported promptly Conduct appropriate additional security screening for Cargo which has failed Xray screening Ensure continued dialog with Cargo Operations Mangers, Coordinators, Cargo Agents, Leads and Third Parties throughout working day Ensure that Company Policy / Procedures are adhered to and communicated to staff effectively Attend any scheduled Management, Coordinator and Lead meetings as required Ensure that all memo’s, Security and Health & Safety instructions are communicated effectively to direct reports Ensure Cargo IQ performance standards for both Exports and Imports are met Ensure compliance with ACU online training Complete yearly appraisals for employees when required Ensure that HAL ID pass is kept valid at all times Qualifications 2 years previous internal/external Cargo warehouse experience A good knowledge of cargo processes and procedures Previous Cargo Warehouse experience an advantage. Demonstrable leadership skills Must be a team player and represent Air Canada in a professional manner Must have an ability to use tact, good judgement and initiative, with a flexible attitude and willingness to make decisions for the benefit of both Air Canada Cargo and our Customers Ability to work under pressure, plan workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Wear Company uniform as prescribed and conform to Company grooming standard Ability to access the AC Aeronet and independently research the AC publications to determine Company procedures and processes Conditions of Employment Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest, at the time any offer of employment is made, and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations which may be required is the sole responsibility of the candidates applying for this position.
