Job Description Forbes Advisor is hiring We are expanding our UK-based development team as we continue our journey to evolve Forbes Advisor from a leading publisher into a tech powerhouse in the US market. As a part of our Application Engineering team, you will play a key role building immersive experiences for Forbes Advisor's customers as well as developing bespoke internal tools for use in house by the Forbes Advisor team. Our engineering culture is flat and collaborative, where you will be empowered to help design, architect, and build solutions using the tools best suited to the job. We follow a lean product-driven approach valuing features delivered above estimates and story points. Our tech stack currently includes: dotnet, NodeJS, Vue, AWS, Terraform, Typescript, ChatGPT, REST, GraphQL, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, NoSQL, New Relic Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable systems and applications. Own services end-to-end, ensuring high availability, performance, and security while continuously improving architecture and infrastructure. Collaborate with team of other senior engineers to help build solutions to meet the users needs. Contribute to a positive team culture fostering a supportive environment to motivate and challenge each other Embrace a product-driven agile approach with the space to build great things at fast pace. Leverage your technical expertise to disrupt the market and produce exciting new journeys and experiences for a US market. Qualifications Demonstrated 4- 5 years of experience at a senior developer level, ideally involving high-performance web systems and client-facing projects. Experience with C# (.net core), server side and client-side JavaScript or experience using established frameworks (Vue, React, Angular) Experience working with AWS, automating testing and working with CI/CD pipelines for rapid delivery Front end CSS/HTML 5 experience - ideally completing a full stack portfolio or with a willingness to lean into back and front-end technologies. Awareness of the serverless suite of tooling provided by Amazon Web Services. Analytical abilities, able to read and understand application telemetry, customer analytics and semantic monitoring to improve and optimise products and code.
